Activity The teacher will begin by teaching the SOL above so
that the students will understand the concepts of
scientific experiments. The assignment for this SOL
will be a project that the students will do
individually. The first thing they will do is to come
up with a scientific experiment that they would like
to test out and then do so at home. Throughout
their experiment, they will use the app Keynote to
make a slide presentation explaining the
experiment and to record any information that is
found out during the experiment. They will use the
app to create a presentation, that they will have to
present in class that explains each and every step
of their experiment and the outcome of the
experiment. The presentation must include the
research they did prior to starting the assignment,

they must document by showing pictures as well.

The teacher will begin by teaching the SOL above so
that the students will understand the concepts of
environmental decisions that have to do with
recycling. This assignment will be done with the
whole class using the app Padlet. You start by
either pasting the groups URL or scanning a QR
code. The students will collaborate using the apps
features to create an activity for the class to do to
try to help out their community environmentally.
Each student will have to submit one idea and then
the ideas will be voted on. Once an idea is chosen,
the students will then all submit ideas on how to
get the activity in action. They will use pictures,
web articles and any other resources they may
want to use to articulate their ideas with each
other. They will have 1 week to work on their
activity and collaboratively come up with an idea.
Each student must participate throughout the
whole assignment.
