Instructions: To contribute to the goal of preparing reflective practitioners, Student Teachers will write an Action Plan at the end of their First,
Second and Third Field Experience with input from their Co-operating Teacher and/or Field Supervisor. The Action Plan synthesizes each Field
Experience’s evaluation, links each Field Experience to the next, establishes goals for improvement and forms an agenda for discussion between
the Student Teacher, Co-operating Teacher and Field Supervisor at the beginning of the subsequent Field Experience. For Field Experience 1 only
(excluding Physical Education students), the Action Plan will be completed during the co-requisite Professional Seminar course.

I have shown ‘Thorough’ to ‘Advanced’ development in the following Professional Competencies developed during this Field Experience:

I have shown thorough development in Professional Competency One during this field experience by recognizing my privilege and position of authority as
an educator within my classroom. Thus, I approached all of my lessons with a critical eye, and tried to make them as authentic as possible for the student
body I was teaching. I learned to situate lessons in the realities of the students in order to make them more authentic. This is something I will continue to
develop in field experience four as I believe it is one of the most important competencies to adopt as a teacher in order to remain relevant and authentic.

I have also shown thorough development in Professional Competency Three. Throughout this field experience, I found myself doing a lot of research on
how to better my classroom. I focused a lot on the techniques and projects one can implement within a classroom to foster active and meaningful student
engagement. By adopting new approaches more tailored to my specific student body, I was able to offer a more rich learning experience for all of my
students which developed the targeted competencies.

I have also shown thorough development in Professional Competency Five. This was the competency I struggled most with preceeding this field
experience. Learning to evaluate student progress and understanding both formatively and summatively proved to be a challenge, although I am now
comfortable saying that I have improved immensely during this experience and feel confident in my ability to do so moving forward.

I would like to improve my skills in the following Professional Competencies developed during this Field Experience:
I would like to improve my skills in Professional Competency Seven for my fourth field experience. Although I did manage to improve immensely during
my third field experience, there is always room for improvement. I would like to really focus on this competency throughout my upcoming field experience
in order to ensure all of my students are equally accounted for when in my classroom.

I would also like to improve Professional Competency Eight during my fourth field experience. During my third field experience I had limited access to
technology, and therefore did not utilize the few ICT tools I did have access too. Although I strongly believe that I made up for the lack of technology use
within my classroom in other ways, moving forward I would like to learn more about how to implement technology into my classroom in a meaningful and
authentic way. Society is moving more and more into a digital age, and I want to ensure that I am keeping up with progress.

I will make use of the following strategies for improvement:

In order to improve my mastery of the aforementioned Professional Competencies, I will continue to research new information and ideas on my own,
engage in professional discussion with fellow educators, seek out opportunities to develop my personal and professional identity, engage in activities
related to the teaching profession whenever possible, and apply for a substitution card so as to remain an active member of the teaching sector.

The Action Plan is to be discussed with your Field Supervisor and Co-operating Teacher at the start of the subsequent Field Experience.
