Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to inform that children get sick easily. There are many ways in

which one can all help out and save children from getting sick from the environment. This may

relate to students at the University of Texas at El Paso to help children with their illness. The

paper includes a discussion and a call to action to college students.

Children’s Health: A Look into Global Health

Since the 1990’s there has always been research for children's health on why they get sick

or even the way they can stay healthy. The health of a child is important because they have a

weaker immune system. College students can help children to stay healthy by improving health

related issues. A way in which college students can contribute is by volunteering at children’s

hospital, giving information about the health issue or even spreading awareness. This how

college students can contribute to improving children’s health. Students in college can improve

health issues.

Discussion

Now a day, college students are helping to raise awareness of the environment more than ever

because of the dangers it has on their health. According to E.J Dizuban , ( 2017 ) children may be

affected by the environment around them. Similarly, in the previous research by Covalan ( 2014 )

there is children who may have threats with modern in which can relate to the rapid

developmental that lacks health and environment safe guards while traditional hazards may be

related to poverty and insufficient development they have a different by rather than quickly form

of diseases. College students may prevent this issue by having a good clean environment for their

children or even kids in general so they can be less at risk to get sick. College students may help

this issues by helping children stay fit children’s health does not just concern with the illness of

children but also focuses on the way children are usually fit so they won’t have any server

conditions in the future.

College students can prevent this by having their children or siblings getting fit and active.

According to Thomas N. Robinson ( 2016 ) claims how to start getting children active and fit.

Children in the U.S enjoy watching television and playing video games. Children don’t do much
CHILDREN’S HEALTH 4

of a physical activity but know study’s show children were able to reduce television and video

games and become physical activate. Similarly, to worldwide day of play where children are able

to play outside for a couple hours by Russell, Wendy ( 2010) Children has rights similar to

adults and they are able to go outside and just play. This is helpful and works by children not

being inside and just watching television children are becoming physical active which can help

their health.

A good way for students in college can help children become more physically active is by taking

them outside. According to Alison Carver (2008) shows how children may not want to play

outside because of their safety outside. There is a curfew child to have to be inside by eleven for

safety reasons only. While on other hand this is not really bad for children to worry about their

safety. According to Valentina Forastieri ( 2002 ) When children are taking risks for their own

life to work because of poverty and traditional this is dangerous because they are risking their

life’s by working between children and adults there was a study to show how children and adults

can take care of their safety while being outside of their homes within the neighborhood. The

neighborhood would be able to take precautions when children are outside playing. Most

children don’t go outside for this same reason because of their safety. Children should have the

opportunity to go to school and not work because their risking their health and life’s. Children

work in hazardous environment and they don’t really see how this can take a toll on them and

don’t realize how it may affect them.

Students in college can help prevent air pollution by reducing their ecological footprint. It may

affect children health within the environment according to Effects of air pollution on children’s

health and development shows how air pollution affects children’s health and because of it they

can get sick (2000 ) While similar to the situation with emission trading within air pollution
CHILDREN’S HEALTH 5

written by Errol Meidienger ( 1985) explains how there was a permission signed so that the air

can get cleaned because of all of the air pollution there was In European cities there study’s

shown how children’s health was affected by the air pollution and it can even affect infant

children as well.. Some cities had good air quality and other had moderate air this air isn’t just

good for children but for adults as well.

College students can help children make smarter eating choices by providing them healthier

options . Children health various with children’s eating as well because every child should be

able to eat as they wish but they also have to learn how to eat right because if they don’t make

healthy eating choice they may became obese. According to E. Waters (2005) Children in

Australia had towards the end of the study healthy choices this was at its highest. While similarly

to author Julia A. Zuppa (2006) she describes how children eat while watching tv. Public schools

around the world feed children healthy so that they can make good eating choices. It is fine to eat

a snack at least once a day and it is better to even replace the chips with a fruit. Children only eat

in front of the television because they feel comfortable but this can’t be good because then they

will be getting oversized because most children don’t even watch what their eating while paying

so much attention to the television.

Conclusion

With the help of college students there can be awareness and volunteering around the world at

children’s local hospitals. the health of children’s is important only because they have a weaker

immune system with the help of students there can be less children sick in the world. Students

can help by using reducing the ecological footprint, helping children make smarter eating choices

by providing healthier options and by taking children outside to play.
