Aside from adhering to the criteria mentioned in
Emerging, Exploring, and Applying, I attempt to
always be honest with my students and treat them
like young adults. I also try not to bring personal
issues into the classroom and never let my emotions
dictate how I respond to students. If a student exhibits
behavior that I find disrespectful, I make it a point to
create a dialogue with that student outside of direct
instruction as a means of not disrespecting or
embarrassing them in front of their peers. 12/10/18
