LS1-2. Develop and use a model to describe the function of a cell as a 


whole and ways the parts of cells contribute to the function 
1. All living things are made of cells. 
2. Even though they are both too small to see, cells are much bigger 
than molecules. 

 
3. A functioning human body has molecules from food (glucose and 
amino acids) and molecules from air (oxygen) in its cells. 
4. Cells can only use molecules that are small enough to enter a cell.
