To look further into the effects of sugar on teeth, we investigated different types of drinks and the effect it has on our teeth by using eggshells as a substitute. We predicted as a class that coke would have the worst effect and predicted water would have no effect. After two weeks we examined the eggshells and found that our predictions were correct and coke did have the worst effect on eggshell and water had no effect. This was because of the high level of sugar in coke which eroded the shell.
