MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Mansfield Police Department to preserve life, protect
property, and to reduce crime within our community. We are a professional
organization dedicated to our core values of Integrity, Honesty, Respect,
Professionalism, and Self-Discipline. We are committed to improving the
quality of life through Community Partnerships with the citizens of
Mansfield.

Improve Division Administration

A. Implement new CALEA four year accreditation process by

revising General Orders
B. Hire a Forensic Science Section operations supervisor to
enhance the divisions electronic forensic capacity
C. Assist the City’s Engineers Office in developing final plans
for a divisional shooting range

Collaboration

A. Reduce Part I crime by 5%.

B. Establish a focused mobile crime response team to address
violent crime
C. Develop the Lethal Assessment Program to identify high-risk
domestic violence victims

Utilizing Technology to Maintain Safe Neighborhoods

A. Design & outfit an “Unmanned Aerial System” patrol vehicle

B. Add five additional in-car camera systems to divisional fleet
C. Launch a Luman Facial Recognition pilot program in division
D. Research an indoor shooting simulator to enhance safety
