School Head’s Application Project Implementation Paper

The School Head’s Application Project is a requirement for a Certificate of Completion

in the Foundational Course of the School Heads Development Program.

The Project requires the participant to identify a specific area of school

operations that require improvement and that will deliver the best impact on
school measuresin three (3) to six (6) months. The choice of project will be
derived from the three priority concerns he/she identified in the Concept Note
he/she submitted at the start of the Foundational Course. Project Results will be
presented by the school head at a colloquium of Foundational Course
participants.

This Implementation Paper guides the school head on planning for his/her final choice
of project. It must be completed and submitted by the end of Module 3.

administrator, manager, teacher, curriculum leader, more often
than sometimes all within one school day. I must lead the way
in using excellent school’s available resources (personnel, time,
space and materials) in enhancing pupils’ learning outcome.
Through this project, I am pretty sure that my
knowledge in curriculum and instructions, staff development,
curriculum content and pedagogies, teaching strategies,
innovations (in reading) and programs and projects would be
developed.

School Management and Operation

Likewise, in doing the project I could also be enhancing
my skills in school operations and management, so called
management system. This entails a sound and proven
framework for managing and improving organization’s policies
and processes. It encompasses information sharing (vision
sharing), benchmarking, and team working (systems thinking) to
quality, access and good governance in achieving the school’s
goals.
Through the implementation of management system,
the school would lead to: risks management and mitigation
effective school’s operations, reduced costs, increased
customers’ satisfaction, achieved continuous improvement,
protected brand and reputation, excellent innovation, effective
teaching learning processes and good relationship with the
stakeholders.

Creating A Student Centered Learning Climate

Through the combined efforts of the stakeholders –
internal and external, all together we could definitely promote a
child-friendly, gender sensitive, safe and motivating
environment. The project would lead us to craft an intervention
focusing on the pupils with difficulties on reading, that is, those
who are identified as Frustration level. Teacher-made and
downloaded from LRMDS Reading-related activities are being
used in the project. Also, constant monitoring of the project
team together with the parents is very essential to progress the
project’s end.

D. Risk Management Plan

All projects are exposed to risk. Risks are unpredictable events that might or
might not happen, and endanger the achievement of your project objectives.
You should therefore know what risks to prioritize and what to do when the risk
happens.
