MOTIVATION

The class will be given/viewed a real model of a letter. They must talk what they see.
PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION
1. Present the objectives of the lesson.

Teacher will give a copy of a letter written by Rizal. While reading, they must find out how Jose
Rizal’s life as a son liken to.

EXERCISES

The students will be tasked to take note as well the verbs (past and past perfect tense) used in
the sentence.
They must have a list of the verbs used in the composition grouped in a particular tense of verb.
GENERALIZATION

What did you learn today?


How do you find Rizal’s life as a son?
Rizal mentions, love, duty, and death. Explain why these three were important in the life of Rizal.
APPLICATION

The class may have this saying as their topic for their 30-minute debate.
“You may not have the chance to die for your country, but you can truly be patriotic by “living” for
your country.” Agree or Disagree?

EVALUATION

The students will be asked with this question which they will answer in a half sheet of pad paper.
(1) Why did he write a letter for his parents?
(2) Why does he say that he has caused his family to suffer?
(3) How does he show love of his country and love of his fellow Filipinos in the last paragraph?
