What is
cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is the use of
electronic communication to
bully a person, usually by
sending messages of an
intimidating or threatening
nature.

Thesis Statement
There should be a law preventing cyberbullying because
teenage victims
● Are committing suicide
● Are using drugs
● Have poor academic performances
Cyberbullying Leads to Suicide
● Cyberbullied victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely
to consider suicide than non-victims.
● At least half of suicides among young people are related
to cyberbullying or bullying in general.
Teenagers start using drugs
● Stress can increase the person’s risk of chronic diseases, including
heart diseases, obesity, and diabetes. If cyberbullying continues, the
victim may show disinterest in life which will lead him or her to
practice a sedentary life.
● Substance abuse may include alcohol and drugs being used as an
“escape” for the person being cyberbullied.
