GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
(i) All questions are compulsory.
(ii) The questions paper consists of 30 questions divided into four sections. A, B, C,
and D. Section-A comprises of 6 questions of 1 mark each, Section-B comprises of
6 questions of 2 marks each, Section-C comprises of 10 questions of 3 marks
each and Section-D comprises of 8 questions of 4 marks each.
(iii) There is no overall choice in this question paper.
(iv) Use of calculator is not permitted.

13 Construct a rectangle of Adjacent sides 4.6cm and 5.1 cm.


14 The population of a village is 50000. It increases by 5% every year. Find the population at
the end of 3 years?
15 The opposite angles of a parallelogram are (3x+5)° and (61-x)°, find the measure of all
angles.
16 Divide 4500 in to two parts such that 5% of the first part is equal to 10% of the second part.
17 In a stack there are 5 books each of thickness 20mm and 5 paper sheets each of thickness
0.016 mm. What is the total thickness of the stack.

19 The denominator of a rational number is greater than its numerator by 3. If 3 is subtracted

from the numerator and 2 is added t its denominator, the new number becomes 5. Find the
original number.
20 A rectangular field is 300 m long and 270 m wide. It is planted with cabbages, each of which
requires on average an area of 900 cm2. How many cabbage plants can the field hold?

23 A trader mixes 26 kg of rice at Rs. 20 per kg with 30 kg of rice of other variety at Rs. 36 per
kg and sells the mixture at Rs. 30 per kg. His profit percent is?
24 Thirty-five workers can build a house in 16-days. How many days will 28 workers working
at the same rate take to build the same house?
25 The length and breadth of a rectangle are (3𝑎 − 4𝑏)𝑐𝑚𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 (5𝑏 + 2𝑎)𝑐𝑚𝑠. Find it area and
perimeter.
26 Construct a quadrilateral ABCD, where AB = 4 cm, BC = 5 cm, CD = 6.5 cm and ∠B =105°

30 A streamer goes downstream and covers the distance between two ports in 4 hours, while it
covers the same distance upstream in 5 hours. If the speed of the stream is 2 Km/hr. Find the
speed of streamer in still water.
