CHECKLIST OF QC DOCUMENTS FOR PRE-INSULATED

PIPES AND FITTINGS

Bare Pipes
1. Pipe MTC
(TPI approved MTC should be submitted and comments raised by TPI should be closed regarding
Hydrotest and NDT)
2. Receiving Inspection report
3. Dimension Report
4. Surface preparation (Blasting) report

Fittings
1. Fittings MTC
(TPI approved MTC should be submitted and comments raised by TPI should be closed)
2. RT reports for welds on the fittings
3. RT reports for spool extension welding
4. Fit-up reports for spool extension welding
5. MTC of pipes used for Spool Extension

Note: the fit-up report should have identification number of fittings with Heat numbers of both
pipe and fittings.
6. WPS and WQT for the spool extension welding should be submitted.
Note: the information of WPS and WQT should be reflected on the RT reports

Insulation
1. Visual Inspection and Dimension Inspection report after Insulation
Note: There should be proper tracking of reports with each material viz. mention the pipe
numbers and Heat numbers in PPS Internal Inspection reports, all dimensions, LDS Alarm wire
check, centerline deviation, surface conditions, thickness’s)

Accordingly, below supporting documents for each pipe / batch should be submitted.

2. Foam Density report

3. Closed cell content
4. Foam compression test report
5. Thermal conductivity test report
6. Water absorption test
7. Foam Voids and Bubbles

All other test reports as per EN253 should be provided at the time of delivery.
