UPDATE ON THE WESTBROOK COMMUNITY CENTER

Updated Tuesday January 15, 2019

The Westbrook Community Center has been temporarily closed due to electrical issues. All
activities have been cancelled for today, January 15th. City staff estimate that the building can be
reopened for programs and organizations in 2-3 weeks, while the John P. Davan Indoor Pool will
reopen in 6-8 weeks. If you need to retrieve any items from the Westbrook Community Center,
please contact Greg Post at 207-899-7701.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Before School programming will resume on Wednesday January 16, 2019. After School
programming will resume on Thursday January 17, 2019. Students should go to the schools they
regularly attend for both Before & After Care.

Canal Elementary – Before Care (starting 1/16) and After Care (starting 1/17)
Congin Elementary – Before Care (starting 1/16) and After Care (starting 1/17)
Saccarappa Elementary – Before Care (starting 1/16) and After Care (starting 1/17)
Westbrook Middle School – After Care only (starting 1/17)

PRE-KINDERGARDEN
The reinstatement and relocation of Pre-K programming is yet to be determined.

GENERAL ASSISTANCE
General Assistance has been moved to the Westbrook Public Safety building, located at 570
Main Street. GA will be open from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

FITNESS CLASSES
The City will continue to provide a limited selection of fitness classes to the public. All fitness
classes have been relocated to Presumpscot Commons, located at 22 Foster Street. Please note
that times may have changed. Classes not listed below have been cancelled until further notice.
