Manual inventory system common problems are errors like miscalculation and typos which

can affect the inventory system and lead to inventory problems like overstocking and spoiling.
Another problem is bad inventory management like easy to misplace or leave out items, causing
clutter and confusion. Last is the inefficient use of employee or personnel time like when
employees/personnels are constantly putting information into a manual system and searching
through badly organized warehouses, their time is being wasted which leads to frustration.

1. In our proposed computerized inventory system in LGU, difficulties are always present. One
of the risk involve is the cost risks typically escalation of the project due to poor cost estimating
accuracy and scope creep. Another risk is the performance risks, it is the risk that the project will fail
to produce results consistent with project specifications.

Computer assessment of inventory items for purchase is inaccurate . Too many people
assume that the computer records are infallible. But the records have to be entered by a person
and if the person responsible does not keep accurate records, it can turn into a real problem.
Inaccurate inventory records can easily result in loss of money and strained customer service.
Computer inventory systems are too complicated. There are many inventory software
programs available for business use. The problem is that many of these programs are not user-
friendly. Computer software developers do not take into account that most of the people who will
actually be using these systems are not tech savvy. A company does not always have the time and
money to invest in training of personnel to use software effectively. Items in-stock are
misplaced. Even if the computer accurately shows the item as in stock, it may have been
misplaced somewhere at the warehouse, or in the wrong location within a store. This can lead to a
decrease in profits due to lost sales and higher inventory costs because the item must be re-
ordered. Plus, the company must spend the time for employees to track down the misplaced item.

In data base, some problems are Limits on scalability, the fact is, all software has
scalability and resource usage limitations, including database servers. Forward thinking
companies concerned about transaction processing capacity know that cataloging
components, database architecture, and even operating systems and hardware configuration
all affect scalability. Increasing data volumes, as the amount of data generated and
collected explodes, companies are struggling to keep up. Data security, databases are the
hidden workhorses of many companies’ IT systems, storing critical public and private data.
Lately there has been an understandable and high-profile focus on data security.

In online trainings, correct and sufficient information are required ( questions mostly involved
in inventory system and the correct answers )

2. Clients shall provide all the data in inventory system like the list of supplies/ equipment, the
common and non common used supplies/ equipment, list which is included in purchases, shortages,
donation w/ or w/o deed, transfer to/from other offices and condemn and for condemn equipments
which will support the computerized inventory system.
3. The deliverables to be provided to the clients are project plan, requirement gathering, analysis,
implementation, testing and software release.

4. Examples of loss to the clients are

5. Database are needed in this project. Database management systems (DBMS) are basically
computer applications or software that can interact with a user and other applications, and also the
database so that it can analyze data. Generally, it allows the creation, administration, update,
definition, and querying of databases. Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet developed
by Microsoft for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. It features calculation, graphing tools, pivot
tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications. It has been a very
widely applied spreadsheet for these platforms, especially since version 5 in 1993, and it has
replaced Lotus 1-2-3 as the industry standard for spreadsheets. Excel forms part of Microsoft Office.

In back up files, you can use T-SQL or Microsoft SQL. T-SQL (Transact-SQL) is a set of
programming extensions from Sybase and Microsoft that add several features to the Structured
Query Language (SQL), including transaction control, exception and error handling, row processing
and declared variables. Microsoft SQL (Structured Query Language) Server is the Database
Management System (DBMS) that is developed by Microsoft. It is software with the main function
of storing and retrieving of data as required by software applications. It allows software applications
to store and retrieve data and interact with the database. It can either be running on the same
computer or the database can be accessed through a network.

Hardware is also needed, complete set of computer system ( CPU, Memory, Mouse, Hard Disk etc.)
and the scanner
