K-12 Module Writing

Guidelines:
1. The submitted module must be written in letter-sized bond paper (8.5” x 11”).
2. Margins should be 1 inch for all sides.
3. Line spacing should be 1.5 inches.
4. Page numbers must be displayed at the lower-right of the page.
5. Printing must be one-sided only (No back-to-back printing)
6. Font size must be between 10pt to 12pt.
7. Font face must be sans-serif (Arial, Century Gothic, Tahoma, Verdana, Helvetica, etc.)
8. Content must follow the Curriculum Guide on the chosen subject area and grade level. Content must be suitable to the target users’ level of development.
9. Presentation should be engaging, interesting, and understandable.
10. All artworks and illustrations must be original. No pictures from the internet or third-party resources must be used. However, if the writer must use a
picture, he/she can download the picture from the LRMDS portal.
11. Medium of instruction must be English or Filipino.
12. The entries must be stapled at the upper left of the page, Folders are not allowed.

On-the-Spot Akeanon Poem Writing Contest
Guidelines:

1. The submitted poem must be hand-written using black pen. The letters must be written in readable print. Script
handwriting is prohibited.
2. The submitted poem must be written in a clean letter-sized bond paper (8.5” x 11”). Doodlings, drawings, illustrations, and
other markings are not allowed. Erasures are prohibited.
3. The format that will be used for the poem is free-verse (except haikus).
4. The poem must have 4 lines per stanza. Minimum length of poem is 4 stanzas.
5. The contestants are given 1 hour to draft and finalize their poems. If necessary, a ten-minute extension will be given.

Storytelling Contest
Guidelines:

1. The time-limit for the storytelling is 7 minutes upon the following signals by the timekeeper:
a. Green flag: The participant begins storytelling
b. Red flag: The time is up (7 minutes)
2. Time will start when the contestant first speaks. Contestants will be penalized with 0.5 points for every 30 seconds that
they exceed the time limit.
3. Presentation of pictures is not allowed.
4. Hand movements and facial expressions are allowed but dramatization (declamation-style) is prohibited.
5. No sound effects and background are allowed to support the story.
