Personal statement

I currently work as a manager of our international coal trading company in which I


spearhead the study, planning and execution of off-take agreements with coal mining
companies, coal supply contracts with power plants and cement plants, and charter party
agreement with sea vessel owners. As a litigation lawyer since 2011, and in view of my
exposure to international commercial transactions, I am continuously improving my skills
and knowledge through education and trainings in alternative dispute resolution,
particularly in international commercial arbitration.

 Responsible for leading three teams with two to three staffs in each

I have successfully completed an estimated 500kt coal shipments from
Indonesia to Philippines.
 Acquired solid experience in the use of Letters of Credit using
Singapore Banks;
 Continuously gaining knowledge and experience in managing disputes
through arbitration administered by SIAC, by assisting our Singapore-
based counsels.

 Responsible, for leading a team of four individual including a lawyer, I
have mediated and successfully resolved intra-corporate disputes,
labor-management disputes.
 In the field of transactional law practice, I conducted due diligence for a
corporate client that helped prevented and eventually saved an
estimated US$1 MILLION losses from a possible international
syndicate; I have likewise negotiated and brokered for the acquisition
of real properties for a client who benefited from a P700k savings by
reason of said negotiated agreement;
 Handled administrative, civil and criminal cases before courts of law
and quasi judicial bodies, which include legal research, drafting of
pleadings, petitions, complaints, sworn statements, etc.

Personal interests and activities


I am a physically active individual who loves sports, outdoors and nature. Swimming,
biking and running are my hobbies. If I have extra time, I train in boxing and Muay
Thai. My wife and two daughters are my strength. And they are the reason for my
existence. I always endeavor to deal with my fellows fairly and honestly.
