VISUAL OPERATION CHART BREMEN (EDDW)

VFR Flight Procedures

1. Outbound procedure RWY 09 – WHISKEY, applicable only for departures from take-off
position “junction TWY A”, shall be requested from Bremen TWR.

2. RWY 23
RWY 23 is available for aircraft up to 5700 kg MTOM for take-offs under VFR at daytime
via departure routes SIERRA and WHISKEY. Aircraft up to 5700 kg MTOM will be cleared
by ground control to taxi to RWY 23 via intersection D for departures via SIERRA or
WHISKEY (appropriate winds assumed). If necessary request departures from RWY 27
and/or via NOVEMBER together with taxi clearance.

3. Circling flights only south of the airport. Overflights of the hospital southeast of the airport
shall be avoided as far as possible.

4. VFR approaches, departures with jets and aeroplanes more than 5.7 t shall use the IFR
procedures of the airport. On approaches radio contact shall be established with Bremen
RADAR at least 25 NM from the airport.

5. “Intersection Take-off”
For noise abatement reasons, pilots of propeller and turbo-propeller driven aircraft of more
than 2000 kg MTOM will be cleared by ATC to use intersection E for take-off RWY 27
instead of intersection F. If flight safety aspects require intersection F for take-off, pilots
shall request this together with taxi instructions.

6. Taxiing
All aircraft taxiing/towed in the direction of the aprons or runway shall wait for a follow-me
car at the “Hold for follow-me” signs, except DFS issues a different instruction over
radiotelephony. Aircraft may be towed on the apron with the consent of FBG Apron Control
only.
