No había
Jacobo
no entendía nada ¿primer partido?
jacobo and soccer
Jacobo did not understand why he had to spend the evenings in the
sun with his grandfather sitting on a stand watching Enrique play
with a ball. There were not many children his age and Grandpa just
looked and did not speak.
He wished he could go to the park, run between the swings and not
be bored as his brother enjoyed his friends, played strange games of
adults and complied with a lot of rules.
When the afternoon came and he was seated again with his
grandfather, he decided to consult his doubts:
- Grandpa, is this football good? Is it as fun as Enrique says? I
would also like to play with the ball but in the garden, because here I
get bored.
- It's not the same to play alone than in the garden - Funny grandpa
laughed - Look, look good and I'll explain what happens.
The game started, the minutes went by and when the referee
whistled at the end of the game Jacobo was unable to take his eyes
off his brother. In that fantastic game I had seen Enrique score a goal
dragging a ball that seemed moved by the wind, delivered the ball to
the contrary to pick up a partner on the floor, ignored a child who
insulted him in his ear and after all that Grandpa told him they had
lost.
Jacobo still did not understand anything because he saw his brother
hug his companions happy, shake hands together.
When Enrique went to the grandstand where his brother and
grandfather were and embraced them both happily, telling them:
- There's nothing like playing as a team and we played very well.
How I like to play football!
