Compatibility of Roles, Responsibilities and Skills

Interning in Accounting Firm / other organisation would enable the students to
develop necessary skills and improve their knowledge in Accountancy. It also provide
students the opportunity to affirm that they have chosen the right career choice.

Experience and Benefits

An intern is placed in the ‘natural’ environment for the student to demonstrate
his/her knowledge in accounting which can be included in their resume as work
experience. Completing the programme impress the student on the real life. Hence,
including this as part of the Institute of Higher Learning’s academic programme
facilitate the connectivity, i.e. ‘school and work’.

Personal Development and Enhancing Employability

Students will come to appreciate the importance of teamwork, meeting expectations,
deadlines, personal development needs, professional demeanor, appearance and
commitment to excel. Experience in the firm often serve as the best leads to full time
employment later.
