People around the world help in little ways and don’t expect anything back.

The

significance of the being a global learner and citizen in the twenty-first century is to adapt and

achieve a better community. ASGL ’s mission is to communicate and interpret the problems to

the students for a better understanding of the world. Similarly, the vision is to focus to develop

these skills and master for future purposes. For example, watching the news about the problem

around the world could give an insight into the world outside of the US and learning other

cultures and respecting their beliefs. To be a Global Citizen people should use the GPO’s, Take

Action, Recognize Perspectives, Investigate The World, and Communicate Ideas.

Jennifer Lawrence, an American actress has come out in the following movies; “The

Hunger Games,” “Passengers,” and “Mother.” She was born on the 15th of August, 1990,

currently 28 years old and was raised in Indian Hills, Texas. Raised by both parents, Karen and

Gary Lawrence, she was playing in church plays and school musicals. At the age of 14, she was

in New York City, there was a talent scout spotted her. Then she was moved to LA and started to

play guest roles in a couple of TV shows.

It is essential to be a global learner because it helps the students get a better

understanding of the whole entire world. Jennifer Lawrence is an excellent example of a global

citizen and can best be described as kind-hearted and unafraid to speak up. Besides her

successfulness in the acting career, her greatest achievement was the Jennifer Lawrence

Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. This shows their commitment to global citizenship

because she helped people with heart conditions to get operations with the two million dollars

she donated plus the other two million she told the rest of the community to raise up. In order to

achieve this level of global citizenship, one must have the commitment to speak up,

communicate with the people in the neighborhood, or even the world to help out with the certain
problems other people are facing. She was able to Take Action by seeing a problem in her

birthplace and doing something about it. She also communicated her ideas and how she feels

about the place not having the right things in the hospital. She also recognizes perspectives and

investigated the world because she had the time to analyze the problem. As the person, she is she

inspires people with her movies and shows she pop-ups and gives inspiration to people and by

donating to the hospital and giving hope to the children's family, she gave them a chance to fell

themselves again and also by showing up to support them. Jennifer Lawrence inspires me with

her movies and good things. She taught me to believe in yourself and just keep on going until

you get there. I have always thought of her as a wonderful person with a great personality.

People don’t do things to get things off their chest, they do it for others.
