It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Edward Marotta. My name is
Jeff Long and I was Mr. Marotta’s supervisor for the last two years at John Carroll University. It has been a
phenomenal experience working with Edward.

When I arrived at John Carroll, Edward approached our football program with an interest in helping with
graphic design and social media. What ended up happening was Edward taking this interest and turning it into a
full blown graphic and social media brand for John Carroll Football. His execution of the vision he had for our
program’s social media presence has helped our program engage fans, recruits and alumni more than ever before.

Mr. Marotta’s portfolio will speak for itself, from his first graphic back in 2017 to now. The passion,
attention to detail and growth that he has displayed in his projects are second to none. Every project he completed
was done in an extremely timely manner, all the while maintaining a solid GPA in his undergraduate coursework. I
am drawn to an example this past fall, when Eddie was hospitalized for an illness, and I told him to relax and focus
on getting better. That week, even while at home resting from the illness, we still received our weekly Player of
Week graphics, our Wallpaper Wednesday graphic, and a plan for the social media accounts for the next month.
The drive and pride he has in his work and professionalism is something I greatly admire.

Another strength Edward possesses is his ability to effectively communicate and respond to feedback on his
projects. He has the innate ability to anticipate the wants and needs we had for our program’s social media and
graphic projects, and then executed them to perfection. The creativity and passion he has truly shines when you
share your vision and watch him produce a project that is filled with passion, attention to detail, and a personal
touch that will resonate with the fan. He will truly be missed by the John Carroll Football family.

Lastly, Mr. Marotta’s accomplishments have astounded me in the last two years because he was a one man
show. In today’s world, it is very rare for a young man to exude the pride and execution of his work with nothing
but himself as a resource. I cannot wait to see what Edward can accomplish when he is a part of a comprehensive
team that will allow him to grow and implement his ideas into a team setting.
