Rough content and outline of the courses

M.I.T.-S.F.T proposing two new courses for the coming academic year
.the detail syllabus work is in progress. Both the courses are in post-
graduation level .
The proposed courses are
1- Vfx and new post production workflow
2-Production in television and new media /transmedia
Duration of the course – two years
Intake- 10x 2 -20 students per year
Fee-3.5 Lakhs per year
Overview
The new courses will be engaging students in rigorous process of
experimentation, hands on practise of different applications to expand
the imagination and praxis .media lab to meet all the technical
challenges along with a Color correction studio will be the new facilities
added to M.I.T-S.F.T for the new courses .with the introduction of the
new courses M.I.T-S.F.T will become one of the few academic spaces in
India where cinema and transmedia taught simultaneously .the method
of learning by doing and making as thinking are the core of the school.

1- Vfx and new post production workflow

This course introduces students to the fundamental skills used in the


Visual Effects (VFX) industry. Students learn basic compositing and how
the VFX field integrates computer graphics and 3D components with live
action plates. Visual Effects include comprehensive practical exercises
which simulate current industry pipelines. Students have access to
experienced mentorship for discussion and feedback. this course also
include the current post production technique and workflow which starts
from edit to screen.color correction ,mastering, introduction to different
delivery platforms are some of the key subjects.

2- Aftereffects
3- Adobe premiere
4- Fcp-x
5- Davinci resolve
6- 3ds maya
7- Nuke
8- Fusion, z brush
9- V-Ray. V-Ray is a popular rendering engine software used in
graphics & animation.

Academic period breakdown

Foundation – 9 weeks
Theory ,Practical ,exercise -54 weeks
Internship – 3 weeks
Project -6 weeks
Students will also associate and work in the projects of School of
Film and Tv

2-Production in television and new media /transmedia

This course is designed to take up the new challenges in the


area of content creation for television and transmedia along
with the technical inputs for the production. The course will be
covering basics of broadcasting telecasting production ,live
sports ,reality shows ,ott tv ,the role of different delivery
platforms ,mode of delivery ,the production technique of few of
the prominent platforms.
The course will also introduce different technology involved
in VR ,AR,MR,XR and 360 cinema . Overview of the history and
development of consumer VR Industry insights and feedback from
experts across cinematic, interactive, and web, Spatial sound design in
post production OR creating a 360 degree soundscape in post are some
of the topics of the course

5- Hands-on camera workshops with a variety of 360 degree cameras
6- Production sound with ambisonic microphones and multiple
7- Multicam television shoot
8- Introduction to live telecasting
