Offensive Co-Players of the Week


Alex Vetras, Amherst
(Senior, QB - Bellevue, Wash.)
Vetras threw a career-high four touchdowns and set a program record for completions in a game (39) to lead the Lord
Jeffs past Wesleyan on Saturday, 37-10. Vetras went 39-of-51 (.765) for 289 yards with a rating of 149.95, as he used 11
different receivers in the victory. He also had two double-digit consecutive completions streaks in the game, throwing 10
consecutive passes in the first half and 13 over the second and third quarters. It was also the fourth consecutive game in
which he was not intercepted, as he has thrown 13 touchdowns and one interception through five games.

Ryan Lupo, Williams


(Senior, RB - Princeton Jct., N.J.)
Lupo tied a program record with four rushing touchdowns in the Ephs’ 35-24, come-from-behind victory at Tufts on Sat-
urday. Lupo toted the ball 39 times and gained 180 yards, an average of 4.6 yards per rush. He also caught two passes
for 11 yards. He opened the scoring in the game at 7:58 in the first quarter on a one-yard run. With Williams down 24-14
midway through the third quarter, Lupo scored on a 10-yard run to bring the Ephs within three, then made it into the end
zone for the third time less than five minutes later to put his team up for good. He added his fourth TD at the start of the
fourth quarter for a 35-24 final.

Defensive Player of the Week


Sam Diss, Tufts
(Sophomore, DB - Ridgewood, N.J.)
Diss grabbed his third interception of the season and also returned a fumble 35 yards for a touchdown during
Saturday’s meeting with Williams, which was eventually won by the Ephs 35-24. He added two pass break-ups
and had four tackles (three solo). Late in the first half, Diss’ pick led to a Jumbo touchdown and put his team
up 17-14 at halftime. On the first possession of the second half, Diss returned the Ephs’ fumble for a 24-14
advantage for Tufts. In addition, Diss returned six kickoffs a total of 128 yards (21.3 per return).

Special Teams Player of the Week


Connor Sullivan, Colby
(Junior, P/QB - Hamilton, Mass.)
Sullivan helped the Mules win the battle of field position during Saturday’s 35-7 victory over Hamilton, as he
averaged 49.6 yards per punt and landed two inside the Continentals’ 10-yard line. Sullivan was only forced
to punt on three of Colby’s 12 drives during the game, with his first punt going 66 yards and ending up at the
Hamilton four-yard line. He also relieved starting QB Nick Kmetz in the fourth quarter and went 1-for-1 through
the air for 10 yards.
