UPDATE: Incident at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Manchester

Manchester, KY: On Monday, March 25, 2018, three Bureau of Prisons staff members working
in or near the mail room at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Manchester, Kentucky,
began feeling ill and reported to the local hospital, however, no treatment was necessary for
them. As of this morning, Tuesday March 26, the Civil Support HAZMAT Team declared the
area safe with no decontamination required. The institution has returned to normal operations.

FCI Manchester a medium security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-
security satellite prison camp located in Manchester, Kentucky. The FCI houses currently
houses 956 male offenders and the satellite prison camp houses 160 male offenders.
