1. Outline
This manual describes the configuration of KyLand ESW to be applied to GSC1000 Substation Automation System
(SAS). The configuration procedure are divided into 3 three main steps as listed below.
1. SAS Database configuration
2. Kyland ESW configuration
3. Installation of SAS setting file for Kyland ESW

2. Database Configuration

Configure RingPort parameter of SAS database in Pmodel as shown by example below. Refer to System
Screen drawing to confirm the Ring LAN direction.
 Set Ring_Lan_Port_No parameter as ‘Port In’ / ‘Port Out’ based on Ring LAN direction.
 Set the port number of Ring LAN connection as shown by figure below.

3. Kyland ESW Configuration

3.1 Setting KyLand ESW IP Address

A) Confirm current IP Address


Access KyLand ESW through serial communication to confirm current IP Address by following procedures.
 Prepare a personal computer that provide serial port RS232C.
 Connect to the KyLand ESW using a serial cable or the exclusive serial console cable attached in the
KyLand ESW package.
 Start serial communication with setting parameter mentioned below.
- Baud rate : 9600bps
- Data : 8bit
- Parity : none
- Stop : 1bit
- Flow control : none

 After connected execute the following command to confirm the IP Address.


 Type“enable” command and press enter.
SWITCH> enable
 Type“show interface” command and press enter.
SWITCH> show interface
 Confirm network interface configuration of eth as shown by figure below.

B) Change IP Address of KyLand ESW


Refer to following procedures to change the IP Address of KyLand ESW.
 Open Web Browser application and input current KyLand ESW IP Address to Address field as
“http://<IP_Address>”. Login dialogue to be displayed as shown by figure below.

 Input username and password below, then click Login button.


Username : admin
Password : 123

 KyLand ESW configuration page to be displayed as below.

 Click menu “Basic Configuration  IP Address” to open IP Address configuration page.

 Input IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway field and click Apply button.
 Then select ‘Save Configuration’ menu and click ‘Save’ button to save edited IP Address.
 Select “Device Management  Reboot” menu and click ‘Reboot’ button to restart KyLand ESW. The IP
Address of KyLand ESW will not change until it restarted.

3.2 SNMP Configuration


Refer to following procedures to configure SNMP configuration.
 After KyLand ESW restarted, Login and open KyLand ESW configuration page again through new IP
Address.
 Click menu “Advance Configuration  SNMP” to open SNMP configuration page.
 Configure SNMP Status, Read-Only Community, Read-Write Community, Request Port and Trap on-off
parameters and as shown by figure below. Then click Apply button.

 Select ‘Save Configuration’ menu and click ‘Save’ button to save SNMP configuration.

3.3 RSTP Configuration

Refer to following procedures to configure RSTP configuration.


 Click menu “Advance Configuration  RSTP” to open RSTP configuration page.
 Configure Protocol Types, Spanning Tree Priority, Hello Time, Max Age Time, Forward Delay Time and
Message Age Increment parameters as shown by figure below. Then click Apply button under Protocol
setting fields.

 Configure the port setting refer to table below.

 Change protocol state to Enable and set the port priority value based on the object to be connected by
referring to priority table above as shown by figure below. After completed click Apply button.
 Then select ‘Save Configuration’ menu and click ‘Save’ button to save RSTP configuration.

Set the port priority correctly according to priority table above. The priority value
will impact network performance of Substation Automation System.

3.4 Alarm Setting


Refer to following procedures to configure Alarm function.
 Click menu “Advance Configuration  Alarm  Alarm Setting” to open Alarm Setting page.
 Enable IP and MAC conflict alarm and set alarm time as 300 seconds as default value.
 Enable Alarm for the port that used for Ring LAN connection as shown by sample below. Then, click
Apply button.

 Select ‘Save Configuration’ menu and click ‘Save’ button to save Alarm configuration.

4. SAS Setting File for KyLand ESW

Refer the procedure below to apply SAS setting file for KyLand ESW.
A) Preparation
 Prepare SAS Individual Setting for KyLand ESW supporting.
 Copy “customize” folder from Individual Setting CD to “C:/” drive.
 Confirm the following SAS setting file for KyLand ESW are exist.
 C:/customize/opt/sas/config/ESW_PropertyInfo.csv
 C:/customize/opt/sas/config/ESW_Snmptrap.csv
 C:/customize/opt/sas/config/CSCC_define.csv

B) Perform SC Mode Switching (Normal  Maintenance)


 Open Internet Explorer
 Open url http://<IP_Address>/cgi-bin/ModeMenu.cgi (please refer to IP Address list below for the
information of <IP_Address> configuration).
SC-A : 172.16.0.11 or 172.16.64.11
SC-B : 172.16.0.12 or 172.16.64.12

 Select "Maintenance" radio button as shown by figure below.

Note : Don’t use "Back" or "Refresh" button on browser tool bar.

 Click Reboot button to apply SC mode changing and restart SC.

 The confirmation dialogue will be displayed as shown by figure below. Click OK button to restart the SC
server or click Cancel button to cancel this command.

 The following page will be displayed when restarting process is started. Wait until restarting process
completed.

Note : Don’t use "Back" or "Refresh" button on browser tool bar.

 Repeat SC mode switching (Normal  Maintenance) procedures above for all SC (SC-A and SC-B).

C) Installation of SAS Setting File for KyLand ESW


 Confirm that SAS HMI application is installed in the PC. Execute “C:/sas/bin/IniSend.exe”
 IniSend application dialogue will be displayed as shown below.

 Set “Setting” combo box to select the drive where Individual Setting update files is located.
 Select target SC to be updated. Check □SC-1 (HOST) for SC-A installation and check □SC-2 (HOST)
for SC-B installation. SC-A and SC-B can be updated together. FEP1-A/B are not necessary to be
installed.
 Click ‘Revision Check button’ to confirm the version of application in SC-A and SC-B.
 Click ‘Send To Computer’ button to send Individual Setting files to SC.

 Click Compare button and check the result of Individual Setting installation result. Confirm the output
string “Success” is displayed in the log. Then, click Revision Check button and confirm the version
number that displayed by IniSend dialogue same with version number of installer.

D) Perform SC Mode Switching (Maintenance  Normal)


 Open Internet Explorer
 Open url http://<IP_Address>/cgi-bin/ModeMenu.cgi (please refer to IP Address list below for the
information of <IP_Address> configuration).
SC-A : 172.16.0.11 or 172.16.64.11
SC-B : 172.16.0.12 or 172.16.64.12

 Select "Normal" radio button as shown by figure below.

Note : Don’t use "Back" or "Refresh" button on browser tool bar.

 Click Reboot button to apply mode changing and restart SC.


 The confirmation dialogue will be displayed as shown by figure below. Click OK button to restart the SC
server or click Cancel button to cancel this command.

 The following page will be displayed when restarting process is started. Wait until restarting process
completed.

 Repeat SC mode switching (Maintenance  Normal) procedures above for all SC (SC-A and SC-B).

This manual explains the installation of Individual Setting to support KyLand


ESW only which is not necessary to install to HMI (ESW and OWS). For
Individual Setting that provided to support HMI menu customization, overview
screen display configuration, and symbol modification etc, is necessary to be
installed to HMI (EWS and OWS).
