Mr. Presiding Officer,

The Committee on Health and Sanitation to which was referred Resolution No. 2017 -
118 / Municipal Ordinance No. 2017 - 05 of Cuenca, Batangas last May 2, 2017.

Subject: Resolution approving ordinance providing rules, regulations and funds

for the control and elimination of Animal Rabies in the Municipality of Cuenca,
Batangas and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof.

Findings:

The Committee reviewed the same and report this august body that;

The Sangguniang Bayan of Cuenca, Batangas as the legislative body of the

municipality exercised its duty to enact ordinances pursuant to the General Welfare
Clause and Section 447 (5) (xii) of the Local Government Code of 1991 to approve
measures and adopt quarantine regulations to prevent the introduction and spread
of diseases.

Recommendation:

In the view of the foregoing and pursuant to Section 468 paragraph (1) item (i) of the
Local Government Code, the Committee on Health and Sanitation hereby resolves to
adopt and approve Resolution No. 2017 - 118 / Municipal Ordinance No. 2017 - 05 of
Cuenca, Batangas entitled: Resolution approving ordinance providing rules, regulations
and funds for the control and elimination of Animal Rabies in the Municipality of Cuenca,
Batangas and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof.
