• SAE BAJA is a national level competition organized

by the Society of Automobile Engineers (SAE)


• It provides student members with a challenging
project that involves design, engineering, planning,
and manufacturing tasks
• The objective is to create an eco-friendly all-terrain
vehicle on the theme “Go Green”
• It involves 80 teams and more than 1000 students
vying for the top spot in front of leading automotive
companies.

• SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) provides a
platform to share information and exchange ideas for
advancing the engineering of mobility systems
• SAE standards for automobiles and aerospace are
accepted globally
• SAE International has more than 121,000 members -
engineers, business executives, educators, and students
from more than 97 countries

• SAEINDIA IT-BHU Collegiate club was started
by a group of students under the guidance of
Late Prof. B.B. Bansal in 2009.
• Currently, Faculty-in-charge is Prof. S.K.
Sharma
• The club now has more than 200 members
including students and faculty
• The club regularly organizes workshops,
quizzes, seminars, guest lectures and industrial
visits
