I. Objectives
A. Classify the famous painters during the Renaissance period and its famous painters
B. Identify district characteristics of arts during the Renaissance period
C. Create an essay on the importance of studying Renaissance period

II. Subject Matter
Topic: Renaissance Art
References: Arts Book
Materials: Manila paper, pentel pen, photocopies about the topic

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Greetings
2. Prayer
3. Arranging of chairs
4. Checking of attendance
5. Setting rules and regulations
B. Motivation
The teacher will teach the pepsong and the student will follow
C. Pre – Test
The teacher will conduct a pre-test to know the prior knowledge of the
student about lesson that they will tackle today.
D. Activity
The teacher will let the students read the module for 10 minutes
E. Analysis
The teacher will let the students brainstorm on why is it important to study
about the Renaissance Art.
F. Abstraction
The teacher will call one student per group and ask:
1. When was the Renaissance Period started and ended?
2. What are the characteristics of the Renaissance Art?
3. Who are the famous composers and painters of the period?
G. Application
Each student will get 1 whole bond paper and in that they will classify the
different artist and their nationality during the Renaissance Period using a
table or in a tabular form. They will be given 5 minutes to do their work and
after that they will pass their work: their teacher will call some student to
recite in front. They will be rated according to these criteria:
Content 75%
Cleanliness 25%
Total 100%
IV. Evaluation
Direction: Write on a ¼ sheet of paper what was asked by the teacher
 1. When was the Renaissance Period started and ended?
2-5. Enumerate the Famous Artists in the Renaissance Period
6-13. Give at least 2 Famous Paintings of each artists in Renaissance Period
14-18.What are the characteristics of Renaissance Art?
19-20. In your own words, what do you think is the importance of studying the art of
Renaissance Period? (no more than three sentences)

V. Assignment
The students will make a compilation of the paintings of the famous artists in the
Renaissance Period in a creative way and it will be passed on Friday next week.
