Liam Barron Took NJSTT Singles

Event at Parkway Lanes
ELMWOOD PARK, NJ – The North Jersey Scholarship Travel
Tournament [NJSTT] held its ninth Singles event at Parkway Lanes.
Hawthorne senior Hunter Perry’s slim lead after two games was eradi-
cated when Mahwah senior Liam Barron exploded with 245-258 to take
first place, barely holding off Fair Lawn junior Krista Eskow who closed
with 236-247 to finish second, fourteen sticks back. After opening with
187, Barron caught fire and burned the maples with a smoking 739
threesome while Eskow kept the outcome close with her strong finish.
Glen Rock senior Matt Passaro’s penchant for rolling big games con-
tinued as he stroked a second game 265. The NJSTT’s final event will
be held Sunday, March 3rd at Bowler City in Hackensack.
While the tournament is open to all youth bowlers, the added End of
Year [EOY] feature offers the chance for additional prize funds to those
who participated in eight or more (2/3) events.
