Subject : New Product Improvement – Round Edge Profile

Daikin Refrigeration Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Sales & Distribution Department is pleased to announce
the release of our new product improvement – Round Edge profile. Round Edge profile
improvement is apply to DM2 & DM2TB (DM1 remain no change).

The round edge profile is promoting easier cleaning which is fulfill part of the hygienic design
requirement. The AHU model name and Eurovent performance according to EN1886 and EN13053
are remain same like below:

The changes can be notice as per below:

1. Penta-post with round edge – Easier cleaning

2. Intermediate Post – With intermediate profile design, the internal joining area become flat
and with better thermal bridging. This flat surface also encourage easier internal cleaning.

3. Cabinet Section Joint – New cabinet section joint design(1) enable joining done at internal /
external of cabinet. Base frame joint bracket(2) make joining of 2 sections easier.

The standard profile (currently use) will be phase out and direct replace with round edge profile.
Factory will implement the above mentioned for every new project order to factory effective from
1st Nov 2017. In the event standard profile require to use for any new projects, special request must
be inform to factory for this intention. We will continue to keep this option available until March 2018.

For standard profile spare part concern after March 2018, factory will continue support the
availability of standard profile or substitute with alternative solution.

For OM17 pricing/multiplier, please use the same multiplier that we had issued in Sept 2017. If you
have any questions, be it pricing or others, please do not hesitate to contact with factory sales
personnel for assistance. We will be most happy to assist.

Note :
1. New Catalogue has been ready for use, kindly request from factory.
2. All technical data shall refer to the technical report generated from selection software.
3. Due to the compliance to Eurovent without affecting any project quoted, the model name do not
change.
4. The old cabinet section joint will be used for certain special case where using round edge profile
instead of intermediate profile.
