Flexible Optical/Electrical Layer Cross-Scheduling
Conventional WDM systems do not have cross scheduling
capacity due to fixed traffic assignments.
OTN Cross
ROADMs support a maximum of nine dimensions for optical layer cross-scheduling and flexible wavelength
grooming with each dimension supporting up to 40 G x 80 in wavelength capacity
The OTN ODUk cross-scheduling capacity currently supports 640 G/1.28 T/2.56 T with smooth upgrade
capability to 1.6 T/3.2 T/6.4 T
It can support a minimum of 100 M multi-service access based on ODUK element scheduling
