3 National Workshop on
rd

“Power Electronics with Renewable Integration”

April 11, 2019 (Thusrday)
(Crash Course on Power Electronics)
Pakistan is situated in the geographical location which is rich with the renewable energy resources but still it is facing intensive energy
crises, which are directly effecting its economic growth and standard of life. This is due to relying on traditional energy resources which
do not full fill the new created demands of electrical energy and thus the gap between demand and supply increases day by day. The
utilization of these renewable energy resources requires a new and updated power electronic technology. Unfortunately very little interest
in research anddevelopment in this area have been seen in Pakistan which widen the gap further. On other side, electrical energy
consumption can also be minimized by using updated power electronic technology. To find indigenous solution for these problems we
need to create and promoteresearch and development culture in our country in the area of power converters. The aim of this workshop
is to provide a unique platform toits young and energetic participants to meet with experience researchers and practitioners where they
can share knowledge and innovative ideas with each other. We are looking forward and welcome to all those persons who are interested
to work in the scope of this workshop.
