DEC 2011 CFA LEVEL I

This Practice exam is a joint-collaboration between CFA Society of Thailand and Thailand Securities Institute (TSI)
for the use of exam room facilities.

The practice exam is one of the study group sessions of CFA Society of Thailand CFA candidates Level 1 who are
residing in Thailand. CFA Society of Thailand believes that the simulated, pressure-oriented exam conditions that
will help mentally prepare the participants and improve their confidence in the final days before the actual exam.

Notes:
CFA candidates or persons who will be participating this practice exam are expected to comply with the CFA
Examination Rules as outlined by CFA Institute just like the actual exam day. Some of which (but not limited to) are:
 Only approved models of calculators for CFA Examinations are allowed:
(i) HP12C or HP12C Platinum (ii) TI BAII Plus
 Personal Belongings Policy and other rules as announced in the Latest Candidate Bulletin and on your examination
ticket
Those who fail to observe the above instructions and other rules as instructed by the practice exam
instructor(s) will be asked to leave the exam room

2. Click “Register” for this particular event
3. If you are a CFA Candidate, log in with your username & password
4. Once the registration is completed, you will be notified by a “Confirmation” email.
5. Pay 1,500 THB according to the above payment instruction.
6. Retain your payment receipts!
7. Bring along your receipts on Sunday 20th Nov to verify your payment.
Please note that for those who did not make early payment will be charged 2,500 THB on 20th Nov

IS DEC 2011 PRACTICE EXAM OPENED TO ALL LEVELS AND WHAT ARE THE EXAM FORMATS?
No, CFA Society of Thailand DEC 2011 Practice Exam is opened to only Level I candidates who will be sitting for 2011
December CFA Exam.

These Practice exams are closely followed 2011 CFA Examination format consisting of two parts – morning session of
three hours and afternoon session of three hours.
Level 1: 120 Multiple-Choice Question (AM session);
120 Multiple-Choice Question (PM session)

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO REGISTER FOR THE PRACTICE EXAM?

There is no restriction of who is eligible to pre-register for the practice exam. However, we encourage only December
2011 CFA candidates to sit for this practice exam. As CFA Society of Thailand will be conducting similar practice exam
in May 2012, June 2012 Level 1 candidates are encouraged to sit for later practice exam date.

WHERE ARE THE PRACTICE EXAM QUESTIONS FROM?

These practice exams are developed by the Stalla Review for the CFA Exam as part of the Stalla CFA 2011 Review
Program. Please note that Stalla Mock Exam are offered only to societies and chapters of CFA Institute and not sold
separately to outsiders. If you are purchasing directly with Stalla, the package include Mock Exam and Review CD will
cost ~ S$320.

HOW SOON WILL I KNOW MY RESULT IF I SIT FOR PRACTICE EXAM?

The objective of practice exams is to help the participants to mentally prepare and improve their confidence in the final
days prior to the actual exam with the simulated, pressure-oriented exam conditions. At the end of the exam,
participants will be given out the answer key with guideline answers to mark their own attempted practice exam
answers.

WHY IS THE PRACTICE EXAM FEE QUITE HIGH?

CFA Society of Thailand has an agreement to pay the Stalla Review for the CFA Exam for the use of their Practice
exams per head basis. The fees paid will help Stalla with the cost of creating exam, as well as the cost of exam
administration by CFA Society of Thailand. And CFA Malaysia is charging MYR 150 per person if you are sitting for a
similar Practice exam in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

All participants in this Practice Exam will be sitting for both AM and PM papers, and you will be given Level 1 Mock
Exam and Review book at the end of the Practice Exam.

IS IT NECESSARY FOR ME TO PRE-REGISTER? CAN I WALK-IN ON THE PRACTICE EXAM DATE?

By pre-registration, participants in the Practice exam can be ensured that you are guaranteed with the exam seats and
the practice exam questions and guidelines answers.

CFA Society of Thailand make no guarantees that those who walk-in on 20th November 2011 will be
able to sit for the practice exam for we only reserve less than 5 copies for walk-ins.
