Entitled “Scale Down”

The Fantastic Four

Members: Alyssa Holguin, Jayme Cousins, Grace Saiz, and Amy Ruybal
Introduction
● Housing markets struggling to recover after
housing market crash
○ Luxury properties in prime locations
are vacant

● Proposal: TV show where vacant luxury

homes are scaled down into sustainable,
more affordable living spaces
○ Renewable materials
○ Increased revenue for cities
○ More living opportunities
Plan
We are proposing a different kind of home improvement show. Making large luxury mansions into smaller, ,more
affordable apartments or townhomes using eco-friendly materials.

● Step 1: Use surveys and focus groups to test the market (May 1-8, 2019)

● Step 2: Gauge the consumer and financial support (May 8-13, 2019)

● Step 3: Fix and Develop the new tv show (May 13-August 2019)
Audience

● In general, the audience for home

improvement shows tend to be aged 45 to 58
years old
● On HGTV, the audience is 55% millennials,
allowing us to broaden the demographic
● Combined with the general audience, we can
improve view count significantly
● Allow more people to see modern/eco-friendly
materials

their needs, and perhaps more
importantly, their wants.
