1. Construction of 13.8KV Transmission Line for Polypropelene

1.01 Mobilization
Temporary stagging of the steel pole at Transmission line route
1.02 Staking
Assure the alignment of pole holes and guy holes
Check if the location is suitable for pole erection and guy installation
1.03 Excavation, Pole Hole and Guy hole
Check or coordinate to site Engineer if there is possible utilities below ground.
Use proper tools, digger.
When excavating, be sensitive that youmight see or hear something unusual below
1.04 Erection of concrete pole.
Erection could be done using 25Tonner Crane
Insert grounding cable prior to erection.
Check the distance of adjacent power line
Install signages and pole identification / marking
1.05 Backfill
In compaction, insert large hard rock at pole perimeter and tampered hard
1.06 Installation of line hardwares including disconnect switch, 900A, 15KV and Lighting Arrester 15KV assembly.
Access the pole using extendable ladder.
Using proper lineman gear
Assign one (1) personnel as watchman to warn and direct persons or vehicles
1.07 Cabling
Use cable stand to avoid cable scratches and easy rolling
Use roller at pole for cable protection
Assign two (2) personnel as watchman to warn and direct persons or vehicles
Tensioning of cable, install first guy assembly.
1.08 Trimming of trees along the Line
Use chain saw if possible
Use bollo or kabig in trimming of trees
1.09 Pole Grounding Assembly
Grounding cable shall be inserted / installed to pole prior to erection
Ground rod shall be 30cm below ground
Use ground clamp for ground rod and cable bonding
Test the ground rod first prior to bonding, the reading , must be less than or equal to 5 ohms.
1.10 Testing and Commisioning
Double check all the connection prior to energization
1.11 Dismantling of Existing 13.8kv Transmission Line
Dismatling of existing cables and accessories
Demolition of existing concrete poles
Assign one (1) personnel as watchman to warn and direct persons or vehicles
1.12 House keeping
Cleaning shall be done during and after works
