I. COMPETENCE

Reading for detail comprehension
B. OTHER TARGET SKILL:
- Generating the main ideas from the brochure
- Finding the gist from the brochure
- Finding the specific information from the brochure

II. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Given the picture, the students are able to understand the ecotourism places correctly.

2. Given the brochure, the students are able to identify the detail information about the
ecotourism place appropriately.

3. Given the brochure, the students are able to find the specific information about the
ecotourism place correctly.

4. Given main mapping, the students are able to write the information based on the brochure.

1 Pre-Teaching  Teacher attract the students by giving Brain-storming

picture?

4. What beautiful views that you
find when you visit this place?
5. What are you doing over there?
6. Did you find uninteresting view
when you visit this place?
7. How much the cost spends to
visit this place? Expensive or
cheap?
8. How about the weather?
 Teacher tells the students about the
topic today.
1. Learn about the ecotourism place.
2. Identifying detail information
about the ecotourism.
3. Write the main idea from the
ecotourism place.
2 Main-Teaching Main Teaching 1 Using Mind Map
35 minutes
 Teacher distributes the brochure about
ecotourism place for each student.
 The teacher gives times for reading
the brochure.
 The teacher draws the main map
while the students read the brochure.
 The teacher invites the students to
write one sentence about the
information that they got from the
brochure one by one in the white
board and must be different with the
other.
 After writing all the information in
the white board, the teacher asks them
to read all the information together.

 After knowing the information about
the ecotourism place, the teacher
gives some questions about the
brochure and asks the students to
skim and scan then find out the
answer to discuss together.
Skimming Questions:
1. What is the brochure about?
2. What is the most beautiful view
from the brochure?
3. How is your feeling when you are
on the top of the mountain?
4. What is the paragraph four tell
about?
5. What information do you get from
Rinjani Tracking Package Via
Senaru?
Scanning Questions:
1. Where is the location of Mount
Rinjani National Park?
2. How high is the Rinjani
Mountain?
3. What is the telephone number of
Gunung Rinjani National Park?
4. Where did you find Segara Anak
Lake?
5. What are the Balinese and the
Wetu Telu people do in Segara
Anak Lake?
3 Post-Teaching  The teacher erases the information

mapping in the board and asks the
students to close the brochure that
they get.
 The teacher asks the students to
describe one sentence based on the
brochure given continuously with to
other students.
