Workshop Title: Free Music Workshop :

A Worship Catalyst Double Portion Movement

The project’s purpose is to train aspiring members of the worship catalyst in the area of singing and
handling and/or playing the instruments. Aspiring members may or may not have previous experience
or background in
music. This project is a long-term goal in order to train more potential musicians who will serve in the
different activities and events of JAMC Manila.
Furthermore, the project utilizes a practical and interactive approach in teaching, since at the end of
each module the mentee is evaluated to determine if it gains a set of specific skills. The learnings for
the theoretical part of music is set reserved during the advanced mentoring phase.
(This workshop does not imply automatic membership to the worship catalyst.)

Target Audience:
a. People with/ without experience or knowledge about music but with interest to learn more.
b. Aspiring members of the worship team in preparation for upcoming audition
c. Event is exclusively for JAMC Mnl members. No newbies/ outsiders allowed but will give
consideration to old members who stopped attending in case-to-case basis.

Length of workshop: 6 sessions/ 2 hrs per session

Location: JAMC Center

Objectives:

At the end of the 6 sessions of workshop, participants will be able to:


1.) Identify the parts of their instrument.
2.) Identify the roles of each parts.
3.) Identify personal techniques for faster growth (i.e. for vocals, genre, voice range, etc.)
4.) Be able to play with great timing and consistent speed.
5.) Be able to play with dynamics.
6.) Finally, to culminate the mentoring, play a song integrating all learnings from the previous
sessions together with other instrumentalist.

Ground rules:
a. Come on time.
b. Minimal use of cellphones during the course of workshop.
c. Only 1 allowed absent for the entire course.
d. Participants are expected to stay within the confines of the workshop area during the time of
workshop.
e. Use of instruments or equipments without supervision is not allowed.
f. Each attendee undertakes to make the presenter immediately aware of any confusion or difficulty
so that it can be fully handled at that time.
