2. Students are expected to do it in Excel and submit print copies as well as soft
copies of it.
3. Softcopies should be mailed to my email.
4. If for any students, PC is unavailable, s/he can come to college and complete it.

1. Open “1.Assignment-1.docx” and solve as per given.
2. Open “2.Assignment-2.xlsx” and as per given.
3. Solve following problems using Financial Functions available in Excel
i. Calculate “Future Value” of an Investment if following is given.
 Annual Interest Rate- 0.06
 Number of Payments- 10
 Amount of Payment- -200
 Present Value- -500
 Payment is due at the beginning of the period- 1
Use FV function.
ii. Calculate “Present Value” of an Investment if following is given.

$500.000 Money paid out of an insurance annuity at the end of


every month.
8% Interest rate earned on the money paid out.
20 Years the money will be paid out.
Use PV Function.
iii. Calculate “Rate” of a loan if following is given
 Car Value- 16500
 Future Value- 0
 Monthly Payment- 285
 Number of periods- 48
Use “Rate” Function
iv. Calculate “Monthly payment” of the loan if following is given. Use “PMT function”
 Car Value- 18500
 Future Value- 0
 Interest Rate- 8.75%
 Number of periods- 60
v. Calculate “Number of Periods” for the investment if following is given. Use “NPER
function.
