Theme : “Grow in Grit, Give Help, Go Higher”

SERVICE
Graduate Attribute: Committed to Excellence
The task of the Christian School in the mind of De La Salle was to bring the young into the fullness of
life that was their inheritance as children of God. The poverty that De La Salle observed so distressed
him because it frustrated the coming to fruition of this vision of each child as the child of a loving God.
The poverty in which many of the young people lived in prevented them from experiencing the fullness
of life. The Founder thus endeavored to bring the Good News of salvation on both the practical and
spiritual levels into the classroom.
In contemporary life, where success is seen as a greater prize, the Lasallian commitment to excellence stands as a counter-witness. Properly
understood, this commitment to excellence is really a commitment to realize the fullness of the human potential not only to develop
his intellect and skills but also to reach out to God.

Reading:
John 5:39-47

You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to come to me that you
may have life. I do not receive glory from men. But I know that you have not the love of God within you. I have come in my Father's name, and you do not
receive me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. How can you believe, who receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that
comes from the only God? Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; it is Moses who accuses you, on whom you set your hope. If you believed Mo-
ses, you would believe me, for he wrote of me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?"

Reflection:
Do you know the joy of the Gospel - the good news of Jesus Christ - and a life freely submitted to the wisdom and knowledge of God's word? Jesus' oppo-
nents refused to accept his authority to speak and act in the name of God. And they refused to believe that he was sent from the Father in heaven. They de-
manded evidence for his claim to be equal with God. Jesus answers their charges with the supporting evidence of witnesses. The law of Moses had laid down
the principle that the unsupported evidence of one person shall not prevail against a man for any crime or wrong in connection with any offence he committed
(see Deuteronomy 17:6). At least two or three witnesses were needed.

Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may listen to your word attentively and obey it joyfully."

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Greetings of Peace!

It is with great honor and pride that we present to you the first ever LSPA Report to the
Stakeholders for SY 2017-2018. This compilation underpins the various activities plunged into
by the Association during the identified year, in close collaboration with the Board of

community.

Furthermore, we wish to emphasize the commitment and resilience exemplified by the team
in ensuring the success of all these undertakings. Our gratitude also goes to you, our parents
and stakeholders, for the staunch support that you have given us and for which we hope and
pray you accord the same to the officers that will hold the fort and lead LSPA in the near
future. You may view the said report by visiting Ranger 360 (GS/HS Principal’s

It was such a huge pleasure to have served the Lasallian community in our own little way --- a

Message from the Couple President
Dear Parents & Guardians,

On behalf of our beloved LSPA Board of Trustees, we are glad to present

the first annual report to stakeholders. There is much to be thankful for
the academic year of 2017-2018. One of which is the steadfast dedication and
commitment of the Board of Trustees who all have worked selflessly in the service
of others. These next few days, months and years to come would only be the beginning of more things to
blossom from LSPA. There is so much work yet to be done, projects in the pipeline to be implemented, so much
minds to be taught, hearts to be touched... and yes...more lives to be transformed in our very own special little
way! LSPA has become a more active and thriving parent organization for the past 5 years. As the pages of this
annual stake holders report unfold, you will see that our projects were geared towards the benefit of our grade
school pupils and high school students. We have proudly implemented so many effective programs and activities
thru the various LSPA committees.

We are grateful for your immense support and take pride in the dedication and love of service of our Parent
section representatives from Nursery to Grade 12. Thank you dear parents and guardians for your active role!
We also would like to express our utmost gratitude to our LSGH administrators headed by our beloved President
Br. Victor A. Franco FSC, the LSGH Board of Trustees, the Executive staff and faculty members. We also wish
to underscore the care of our support staff, the hard work of our different departments like ASD-Building &
Grounds, Safety & Security Office, the LRC, the IPO, the Registrars' Office, Guidance & Counseling Services, ANHS-
TVET family, SPDO, HRD, Lasallian Mission Office, CENTRO, FRD, Purchasing, Health Services Unit, Educational
Exchange Center, LSGHAA and PEA, the Lasallian Formation Center and DLSP. We wish to convey our sincere
admiration for all that you do and will continue to do for the love of this school we all so happily serve, inspired
by the charism of our founder St. John Baptist de La Salle, as he gave himself wholly to his community, serving
with compassion and humility. Thank you so very much for your friendship, guidance and confidence in us.

As we pass on the banner to our next set of officers, we pray and hope that they continue the good practices
and work toward the common goal of serving the Lasallian community wholeheartedly. Maraming maraming
Salamat po!

Mr. Alejandro & Mrs. Ma. Regina Lim

2 Where there is grit, there is excellence

Message from the LSGH President

My Dearest Parents,

Congratulations for the year that was!

The La Salle Green Hills Parents' Association has always been a partner of the institution in many
undertakings pertinent to the welfare of our students, your sons. Partnership in our case also takes its source
from a well-known African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child." It is our belief that a child's well being
depends on the various sectors of the community and their collective actions. A child is everybody's job indeed.

Together with the rest of the community, the Brothers and I thank you for al the efforts you exerted to
guarantee that every child in this school is happy. It is a herculean task, but for those who have courage and grit,
who believe in the common good, and truly have love in their hearts, anything big will always be surmountable.

May God bless you and your families.

Br. Victor A. Franco FSC

Message from the Grade School Principal
Dear PARENTS,
The birth of the integrated Parents’ Association was pivotal to the history of both Elementary Parents’
Auxiliary (EPA) and the Parents’ Association of La Salle (PALS). There was much excitement and enthusiasm in exploring
new opportunities that came with it. It was a point that synergy reached its peak, where parent teams plan together and
celebrate the accomplishments accounted for the year.
At the beginning, the meetings seemed to have been packed. Meaning, that the attendees were large in number and
compromised quality discussions. It however, proved to be manageable and advantageous since the insights of the all key
units were heard of. Thus, decision making was readily yielded to with a reasonably sound basis for action.
The circulation of this report is a testament of the accountability acknowledged by the organization to the primary
stakeholder, that is you, our parents. Contained in this compilation are highlights of the activities pursued by the different
grade levels, all of which are backed up with photos and related documents as references, a report on the financial resources
and an epilogue that gives us a stance as to where LSPA (The La Salle Parents’ Association) is heading.
We laud the exemplary work of the members of the immediate officers of the LSPA Board, who, just like you, have
committed themselves to further the thrusts of the school through worthwhile projects. It is our collective intent that this
report speaks to you in ways that promote the common good of the parents and the entire Lasallian community.

In St. La Salle,

Mr. Jose Ramelle E. Javier

Grade School Principal

Message from the High School Principal

The school’s mission of providing human and Christian formation for our students can only be realized if there is true
collaboration and strong partnership between parents and the school. Such collaboration yields the best results when
passionate and dedicated stakeholders generously give their heart and time to the ministry of teaching minds, touching
hearts and transforming lives.

The complete documentation of the meaningful projects and activities initiated and/or co-sponsored by the La Salle
Parents’ Association (LSPA) are contained in this Stakeholders’ Report, which serves as proof that parents indeed work side
by side with the school in the education of their sons. These projects and activities have truly benefitted our students,
faculty, staff, and partner communities.

On behalf of the High School Department, I would like to thank parents, most especially the LSPA Board of SY 2017-2018 for
your generosity and hard work. It is my ardent hope that we sustain our trust, enthusiasm, and dedication to this school-
home partnership to ensure a successful learning environment for your sons.

Live Jesus in our hearts!

A Prayer for Change
Today I start the change I want to see

Let me be the change I want to see

To do with strength and wisdom all that
needs to be done...
and become the hope that I can be.
set me free from my fears and hesitations,
grant me courage and humility
Fill me with spirit to face the challenge
and start the change I long to see.
Even if I’m not the light
I can be the spark
in Faith, Service and communion
Let us start the change we want to see
The change that begins in ME.

Live Jesus in our hearts forever, Amen.
