NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of Andhra

Pradesh Tax on Entry of Motor Vehicles into Local Areas Act, 1996 (Act
No.26 of 1996), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby directs that the
tax leviable under the said Act on the entry of Motor Vehicles, purchased
and brought by M/s VANPIC Ports Pvt. Ltd. or any other SPV formed for
construction of VANPIC Project, into the local areas of Andhra Pradesh for
utilization in execution of work relating to construction of Vadarevu and
Nizampatnam Sea Ports, Industrial Corridor Project, shall be exempted
under the provisions of the said Act, provided M/s VANPIC Ports Pvt. Ltd.,
or any other SPV formed for development of VANPIC Project, furnishes a
declaration to the effect that the said Motor Vehicles purchased from out
side the State and brought into the State of Andhra Pradesh are for
utilization in execution of works for construction of Vadarevu and
Nizampatnam Sea Ports, Industrial Corridor Project, only.

This notification shall be deemed to have come into force with

effect from September, 2008, and shall be in force till the completion of
the said project.
