AN EXECUTIVE ORDER CREATING THE BARANGAY ANTI DENGUE TASK FOR COMMITTEE AND
“ AKSYON BARANGAY KONTRA DENGUE BRIGADE” IN BARANGAY 185, CITY OF PASAY

WHEREAS, dengue has become a major public health concern in the country and in some parts
Of the word;

WHEREAS, our country, dengue remains to be endemic and number of case is expected to
Increase during the rainy season

WHEREAS, environmental sanitation is still the most effective way in the elimination and
Ultimate destruction of breeding sites of the mosquito vector carrying the disease;

WHEREAS, environmental sanitation as a preventive measure can be achieved and sustained

through community participation at the lowest level of the community which is the Barangay level.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay 185, Zone 19, Pasay City in session
Duly assembled DO HEREBY ORDAIN that:

SECTION 1. CREATION. There is hereby created a Barangay Anti-Dengue Task Force Committee and
Aksyon Barangay Kontra Dengue Brigade.

SECTION NO. 2 COMPOSITION. The Barangay Anti- Dengue Task Committee shall be compose of the

The Punong Barangay may appoint other members of the Council depending on the need and
circumstances.

SECTION 3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY. The primary function of the Committee shall be establish
a program and policy on the prevention and eradication of dengue. The majority members of the
Committee shall constitute a quorum for it to exercise its power and perform its duties which shall be
as follow:

a) To create the Aksyon Barangay Kontra Dengue Brigade, to serve as the implementing aim of
the committee;
b) To regularly monitor and report the incidence or occurrence of dengue in the Barangay as
defined by the Department of Health through the City Health Office.
c) To determined and identify mosquito breeding sites and to identify high risk area.
d) To conduct wide ocular inspection on potential breeding sites of dengue mosquitos within
the Barangay.
e) To conduct constant educational and massive information campaign on the prevention of
dengue with all the constituents in the Barangay.
f) To encourage all resident in the Barangay to observe cleanliness and proper hygiene, like
proper disposal of garbage and no stagnant water in the canals in and around the house, the
4’oclock daily habit of cleaning the surrounding.
g) To lead the community in a weekly general clean up drive.
h) Conduct a vector control and Baseline Entomological Survey in high risk area.
i) Coordinate with the City Anti-Dengue Campaign Committee on recording and reporting
system for vector control and surveillance information.
j) To submit quarterly barangay accomplishment report on the implementation of the plan to
The City Anti-Dengue Campaign Committee.
k) `Tap the support of the socio-civic business sector to generate resources e.g. volunteers,
drugs, medical, laboratory supplies, IEC materials, reporting form, etc.
l) To promulgate other measure that could contribute to the prevention of dengue that do
not contradict the provisions of this Ordinance.
m) Perform other related responsibility as may be assigned by law of competent authorities.

SECTION 4. CREATION OF THE AKSYON BARANGAY CONTRA DENGUE. The Barangay Anti-Dengue Task
Force Committee within 15 days after the affectivity of the Ordinance, shall submit the list of members
of the Aksyon Barangay Kontra Dengue.

THE BARANGAY ANTI-DENGUE TASK FORCE COMMITTEE shall designate Point Person/s within are and
Area Point Person shall identify and designate members to be the Aksyon Barangay Kontra Dengue
Brigade.

SECTION 5. EFFECTIVITY. The Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
