2. With advancement in the IT capabilities of the Bank, a need was felt to rationalize this
number with a view to free the valuable human resources at branches to concentrate on
business development and better customer engagement. Accordingly, fresh opinion
was sought from various Business Units/Owner Departments on
retention/discontinuation of registers at Branches/CPCs.
3. Out of total of 194 Registers being maintained as on date, a decision has been taken
to discontinue 87 registers as per Annexure-I. Branches/CPCs will no longer be
required to maintain these registers with effect from 01.02.2019. The discontinued
registers should be preserved as per Bank’s extant Record Retention Policy.
5. Please bring the contents of this circular to the knowledge of all Branches/CPCs
under your control for meticulous compliance.
