Industrialization Project (150 points)


In Groups of 3 (or 4 in rare cases) you will take on role of teacher and teach a
section of the text. You will create a PPT, present it, ask questions, and give a
quiz! You will also evaluate yourself and your group members.

Grading Rubric:

 PowerPoint (Visual)
o Highlight Main Ideas
o Define Vocabulary (Have to be able to see it)
o Have pictures that relate to the material
o Easy to read and understand
o Must Include information from at least 1 primary source (bonus points
for more than 1)
 PowerPoint (Presentation)
o Everyone in the group speaks (no one dominates)
o Each member uses proper speech techniques
o Must explain information from at least 1 primary source (bonus points
for more than 1)
o Presentation is a minimum of 10 minutes, but no longer than 15
o Questions are asked to get class participation
 Quiz
o Short quiz with questions concerning main ideas.
 Quiz should take no longer then 5-10 minutes
 Can be Multiple choice, true/false, matching, and/or short
answer
 Quiz will be out of 5 points (so please no more than 10
questions)
o Needs to be submitted BEFORE presentation (I can make copies for
you)
o They are graded and given to teacher the next class day (given a
number out of 5 at the top of the paper.
 Self/Peer Evaluate
o Complete the Self/Peer Evaluation sheet honestly to reflect on how
well the group worked together. Will affect your grade!
