MARINERS NOTES:
 The Mariners equaled their club record for stolen bases in a game with 6 (also: 5/9/02 vs. TOR & 7/20/04 vs. BOS).
 The Mariners snapped a season-high-matching 6-game losing streak…also snapped a 5-game losing streak
against Texas.
 Mallex Smith stole 4 bases in a game for the 1st time in his career (previous high: 3, 6/9/17 vs. OAK w/ TB) and
became the first Mariner to steal home since Dustin Ackley on May 20, 2012 at COL.
o Equaled the club record for stolen bases in a game with 4…is the 7th Mariner to accomplish this feat
(done 8x, last: Jean Segura, 5/15/2018 vs. TEX)
o Smith reached base 3 times for the first time since April 10 at Kansas City.
 Kyle Seager has multiple hits in 2 of his first 3 games of 2019.
 Shed Long has hit safely in each of his last 5 games.
o His 4th-inning double was his 3rd double in his last 4 games and his 1st career base hit at T-Mobile Park.
 Tommy Milone tallied 7 strikeouts for the first time since August 1st, 2018 vs. New York-NL (w/WAS).
o Milone had 7 strikeouts in fewer than 6 innings for the first time since April 11, 2014 at Seattle (w/OAK).
 Daniel Vogelbach launched his 15th home run of the season in the bottom of the 7th inning.
o Improved his at-bat-per-home-run ratio to 10.2 (146 AB, 15 HR) – the top mark in the American League.
 J.P. Crawford has hit safely in 12 of 16 games since being recalled from AAA Tacoma on May 10 and has
reached base safely in 14 of 16 games.
 Anthony Bass tallied 3 strikeouts for the first time since June 29, 2018 vs. Minnesota (w/CHC).

RANGERS NOTES:
 Lance Lynn has posted double-digit strikeouts in back-to-back starts for the first time since doing so June 7,
2012 at Houston and June 13, 2012 vs. Chicago-AL.
o The last Texas pitcher to accomplish this feat was Yu Darvish (5/9/14 vs. BOS and 5/16/14 vs. TOR).
 Logan Forsythe has reached base safely in 15 straight games, the longest such streak by a Rangers player this
season and the 3rd-longest active streak in the AL…during that stretch, Forsythe is hitting .347 (17x49).
o Forsythe’s 15-game on-base streak is tied for the 2nd-longest of his career (also: 8/26/16-9/12/2016) and
is 3 games short of his career high 18-game on-base streak (5/10/15-5/29/15).
o Forsythe’s multi-hit game was his 1st since May 16 at Kansas City and 3rd against the Mariners this
season.
 Ronald Guzmán homered for the first time in 19 career games against Seattle (71 at-bats).
 José Leclerc’s scoreless appearance streak ended at 5 games and 7.0 innings pitched (both 2019 highs) on
Daniel Vogelbach’s 7th inning home run.
o Left the game with right calf tightness/cramping in the 7th inning.
o Marked just the 3rd home run Leclerc has allowed in 21.1 innings pitched this season and the 1st since
April 21 vs. Houston.
 Nomar Mazara recorded his 6th multi-hit game against the Mariners this season.

RANGERS MANAGER CHRIS WOODWARD:

On Lance Lynn's outing:

"He fought and fought and did what we expect. Every time he goes out there he gives us a chance to win. He gave up the
three runs in six (innings), so he did his job. We just didn't score enough."

On what kept the Rangers off-balance at the plate:

"I don't want to make excuses but it was difficult to see with the six o'clock game. The shadows played a factor. I think
more so for [Tommy Milone] because he is an off-speed guy. He changes speed, he moves the ball around and our hitters
had a tough time seeing that changeup. You could tell, there were some ugly swings. And I'm not making excuses, but
that obviously played into [Milone's] game plan more than it did to Lance's.
