Sub: Rural Internship/Project of the Students for the Holistic Development of the
VillageS.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in continuation of our letter F. No. 16-3/D-SDC/SAGY /2017 dated 27th luly,20t7
requesting you for Association of institute with Villages for inclusive Development.

The Council sincerely appreciate your gesture in extending the support of your institution
in working for the development of villages through the technological and Knowledge
intervention.

In order to enhance the activity of Rural engagement and active involvement of students
of your institute it is advised that student may be requested to complete Rural Internship
in village adopted by your institutions.

You are further requested that, students may in encouraged to visit the adopted village
and identify any problem area and should work on a B.Tech Project on the identified
problem. Such initiative will not only help in enhancing the Innovative talent in the
student but also finding a solution for local problem.

Following is the list of suggestive activities in which students can work:


o Creation of more than 25 jobs at least in 4 categories.
o Helping local schools to achieve 12th ResultL00o/o and their enrolment in Higher/
Technical / Vocational Education.
o Preparing an actionable DPR for Doubling the village Income.
o Devolving Sustainable Water Management system.
o Motivating and achieving a target of reverse trend of around 5 youth in a year from
City to Village.
o Developing and implementing Low Cost Sanitation facilities.
o Tourism Promotion Innovative Approaches.
o Promotion of Three Appropriate Technologies,
o Per Capita reduction in Energy Consumption by atleast2So/0.
o Skill to 100 (Minimum 30 GirlsJ People Resulting into Rs. 6,000 fob.
. Developing localized techniques for up to 50% Reduction in Housing Cost.
o Facilitating 100% Digitized money transactions.
Setting of Information imparting club for women leading to contribution in social
and economic issues
Developing and managing Efficient garbage disposable system.

The outcomes of the surnmer training/Project of the student may be communicated at


sag.v@aicte-india.org so that best reports may be published by the Council.
