Jobs lower wages when its made up of mostly female workers and
oes the opposite when dominated with men .this cost women billions in
lost in comparison to what they would be making if they were receiving
equal pay)The gender gap in pay has narrowed since 1980, but it has
remained stable over the past 15 years o. In 2018, women earned 85% of
what men earned, according to a Pew Research Center. Based on this
research, it would take an extra 39 days of work for women to earn
what men did in 2018
woman in 2019 are still being paid less than men only
receiving 89 cent for every dollar a man makes when working with the
uncontrolled gender wage gap and testing the length /realness of the

Although the wage gap has become smaller it still isn't enough
According to the Institute for Women's policy research the gap as
narrowed but won't completely close into 2059(senate.gov April
2016).so women would still be losing billions in wages due to the
gap.as started before the constant problem will impact the future ,
effect what women can afford because as women wages may go up prices
and men wages does the same so women will not truly be equal to men
(minorities) and this is because of the work policy against
discrimination to gender , age , race , and sex.
The pay gap widens as women get older.Women aged 55–64 are paid 78
percent as much as men the same age, a gap more than double that of
women aged 20–24. Earnings for both female and male full-time workers
tend to increase with age, although they rise more slowly after age 45
and even decrease after age 55. But as workers progress in their
careers, women’s median earnings grow more slowly than
men’s.(ww.AAUW.org,by Deborah J Vagins published in 2019.) The purpose
for this is the policies put in place for gender wage gaps
it is clear that the gender wage gap is about more than just personal
choice. It is a real problem, and it is a problem that calls for
immediate and "nimble" policy solutions said Research Assistant for
Economic Policy at the Center for American Progress.(Jane Farrell
