“What is SLSU-CBM?

Southern Leyte State University-

San Juan is a public educational
campus part of Southern Leyte State
University. For a long time before, the
San Juan campus became part of the
university system, it operates a
municipal high school that provides technical and
vocational education programs for the youth in the
municipality. Now the school operates as the College
of Business and Management , the San Juan campus
offers undergraduate programs in Entrepreneurship
and Office Administration. Other programs include
courses in Secondary Education, Information
Technology, and Industrial Technology.

“Does School’s Name Really Matter?”

 As the importance of light is better understood by
experiencing darkness, so is the importance of education can
be better understood by dwelling into the lack of it. But the
name of school itself does really make a big difference in
terms of producing effective, efficient and successful
individual? Well for me, no. I say this is not because I, myself
will be soon a product of Southern Leyte State University-
College of Business and Management but because based on
my observations and what I had experienced and continue
to experience here about almost two (2) years, the
administration (campus dean, faculty and staff) are really
doing all their best just to ensure that all the students needs
and interest are fairly catered and that they are enjoying the
kind of education they deserve which would be a big help
them when the time comes they get out from the four-corners
of the classroom and face the reality of life. The said campus
is now adapting the 21st century kind and set-up of learning
where everyone are not only good in terms of academics but
also in facing and solving real-life situations. So for me, the
name of the school where you came from, where you studied
and graduated does not really matter as long as you develop
within you the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to
survive in life. Because I do really believe that education is
like a powerful weapon which one uses to face the adversities
of life and overcome poverty, fear, status and achieve
success.

This is a place where in we can play and run
Nature is about the earth
Where in the people are birth

Nature is a beautiful
Nature is a peaceful
We love, and protect it
Because we can’t live without it

“Pag-ibig”
 Nagsimula sa simpleng kwentuhan,
Nauwi sa ag.kakamabutihan,
Ng dalawang pusong parehong uhaw,
Sa hinaharap nalang pilit na tinatanaw

Bawat ala-ala’y kay sarap balikan,

Pagmamahal ay bumubuhos para bang ulan,
Kay tagal ng nais sambitin katagang itinatago,
Pasensya na kung naduduwag parin ang pusong
ito,
Hirap sambitin kahit pundasyon ay lumalago.

Tayo nga ba ang para sa isa’t-isa?

Tayo nga ba ang itinadhana niya?
Nakaw na sandal ay punno ng ligaya,
Kung panaginip ito’y wag na sanang magising pa .
