Legal Responsibilities
As a teacher in a school you have 3 legal
responsibilities
•Take attendance everyday
•Never leave scholars unattended
•Report suspected cases of abuse or
maltreatment of a child
These responsibilities we will take very seriously
as they ensure the safety of our scholars.
Professional Responsibilities
• School Hours→ 8:00-4:00
• Team Members must report to school no later than 7:40 AM and
ending time will be 4:20pm.
• Professional Dress
• Men
• Shirt and tie (shirts tucked)
• Dress slacks (appropriate fit)
• Dress shoes
• Women
• Dress slacks (appropriate fit)
• Appropriate length skirts (knee length)
• Dress shoes
• Dress sandals
Communication
• All phone calls and emails should be returned within 48
hours.
• Think critically about the form of communication you
choose to use (i.e. Email is not always the best). Try to
avoid passing conversations for issues requiring more
attention.

Parent Communication
• Newsletters will be sent home once per week (Mondays)
• Progress reports will be sent out every 2 weeks.
• Parents will also have access to PowerSchool (our
grading system) to be able to stay up-to-date on scholar
progress.
