TROPHY
1. Introduction.
Thank you for choosing a Trophy Panoramic X-ray system OS 1000/C. We are sure you will be fully
satisfied with its use and diagnostic abilities.
Trophy Radiology units offer high quality and advanced technology.
Please read this manual carefully before using your unit. It contains important information on
operation and performance of the unit.
Other radiographic programs using the same operational procedure as for Panoramic Radiography
are omitted.
Refer to the Panoramic Radiography operational procedure when needed.
Please keep the manual in a safe place for future reference.
X-rays are not innocuous and can be dangerous if not used properly. You must therefore follow the
manual instructions and observe the “warning” and “caution” statements during operations.
Radiology units manufactured by Trophy comply with the strictest safety standards in force
throughout the world (IEC in Europe, CSA in Canada, UL in USA, etc.). They guarantee optimum
protection against radiation risks.
Nonetheless, you are handling a radiology unit specially designed to generate X-rays to allow
medical diagnosis on a film or using DIGIPAN ® (a digital dental imaging system). Consequently,
despite all the Trophy know-how and the inherent safety of our equipment, you must use
conventional commercial equipment to protect yourself and your patients against radiation risk.
For the same reason, the room where you operate your radiology unit must comply with all official
applicable regulations for protection against radiation.
Your distributor will be pleased to help you with the initial use of your unit and to answer to any
complementary information you may require.
You must use this X-ray unit with its beam limiting device.
The signs “Warning” and “Ionising radiation” fixed to the front panel of the control unit mean.

Development is one of the most important processes in order to obtain a good X-ray radiograph.
Develop with special care.
1) Preparation of developer:
Dissolve the developer in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction.
Do not use developer or fixer over one month old, regardless of the frequency of use.
2) Developing time and developing temperature
When developing temperature is about 20°C developing time is about 3.5 minutes. Refer to
“Development condition table”.
3) Development point
For tank development, stir toughly a hunger suspending film in developer until all bubbles are
removed from surface of film.
4) Intermediate washing
Conduct an intermediate washing of the film with cyclic water or a stop solution liquid for 30 seconds,
at a liquid temperature of 20°C.
5) Fixing
Dissolve fixer in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Prepare the necessary amount of solution.
Fix the film at a liquid temperature of 20°C for 10 minutes.
6) Washing
Circulate the washing water so that new water constantly circulates surface of film.
Wash film in water for 20 minutes, at a liquid temperature of 20°C.
7) Drying
Dry the washed film naturally in a dust-free area.
Replenisher: using a replenisher specified by the manufacturer to replenish the tank and prevent any
deterioration in the ability of the original solution.
