GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Secondary School Principal, the Class/Club Advisor is responsible
for providing activity/club programs that instill cooperation, leadership and direction to all interested high
school students. The advisor develops the annual club calendar, plans for the supervision of class/club
activities and performs other duties directly related to this position description.
General:
Responsible for maintaining a high interest, balanced club program to meet student needs throughout the
year.
Establishes dates, times and places of events for administration approval and placement on the school
calendar.
Offers leadership and direction to class/club officers and works with Student Council and Associated
Student Body (ASB) to coordinate class/club activities.
Provides leadership and in-service for all class/club officers regarding fundraising, banking and club
operating procedures.
Responsible for maintaining a working budget and directs class/club bookkeeping and banking
procedures.

Occupational Certificates/Licenses:
Holds an appropriate California Teaching Credential or valid emergency certification issued by the
California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
